Ten Days in a Safe Place: “They Don’t Abide the Rede”

July 3rd, 2021 Phoenix AZ. And Now Cue the Spotlight… What follows is a small cross-section of an analytical/functional interview between myself and Jen in Sunny Slope, conducted two months after her conversion to Christianity, when we both began being precisely targeted by metaphysical and supernatural attacks. My knowledge stems from my academic background as a Cultural and Physical Anthropologist combined with my worldview as a Christian and my questions were not prepared, nor were her responses. This was transcribed by myself, verbatim, during this conversation and remains unedited.

Me: Jen, what are the sensations that you are feeling?

Jen: Confused, angry, lost.

Me: Those are common feelings.

J; Someone is crying, I can feel it.

M: You feel it how?

J: I can feel someone else’s tears, hear someone else’s voices.

M: You mentioned poppets?

J: It’s an object, hair, pictures, blood, clothing,. jewelry… anything sentimental. There are two ways to make a poppet…. make one of wax or or bind one with a personal object.

M: You’re speaking of associative and contagious magick (witchcraft,) Spooky action at a distance (particle metaphysics.) In other words, you craft an objective representation, in effigy, a rag doll or you make one with hair and fingernails and wedding rings and family heirlooms… attachments right?

J: Yes

M: And you call this practice what?

J: Voodoo.

M: Are you familiar with persecutory delusions?

J: No

M: It’s the belief that something or someone is out to harm you. You believe someone is trying to harm you?

J: Yes

M: With Voodoo?

J: Old World Voodoo.

M: What do you mean by old world?

J: Dumbed down magick doesn’t work, this new age bullshit, it’s harmless… its… I’m not afraid of it. But Black Magic is powerful, fucking powerful because it’s blood magic and it has intent. It’s old world magick… it violates and offends the natural law.

M: Who do you know that might delve into or who has the capability and curiosity to engage in such ritual practice?

J: George Raymond Randall Jr., my ex husband.

M: Anyone else?

J: Melissa Gibbs…

M: Anyone esle?

J: Yes but I don’t know this person well enough to make assumptions …

M: Perhaps don’t assume, but alude…

J: This person holds nordic traditions…. and we are of the same blood.

M: Nordic, so strength and power from conflict and struggle and omens and divination… the language of the sword?

J: Exactly

M: Ok, anyone else….. I understand that you don’t want to put anyone in the spotlight. Neither of us wishes to harm another. We aren’t trying to harm, we are trying to heal and resolve to…foreclose, right? Anyone else?

J: Tee… and she has a coven. And They don’t adhere to or abide by the Rede.

M: By Rede, you mean she and her coven are not bound by Perfect Love and Perfect Trust? They aren’t opposed to practicing harmful, exploitative and offensive magick?

J: Exactly

M: Well, now we have a starting place, a uh, focus point.

POI: Fast forward to Aug 22 (my birthday) 2022. I would come to find out that our marriage, conducted in Phoenix a month after the conversation transcribed above was illegitimate. She was still married to George Randal, her conversion to Christianity was half-hearted and situational in and of itself. I would come to find out that her and her entire family were deeply involved in witchcraft, George Randal is from Wyoming and has family members that were (as recently as 2024, at very least Notary’s for the Motor Vehicle Department in Lander,) and she was personally associated with a family within the Arapaho Tribe whose names I will not disclose for matters of my own personal safety. Jen left the reservation on this day leaving behind all of her personal documents and computer which is how I came to discover this information. The previous night she had attempted to creep up behind me with a claw hammer raised above her head… had it not been for the squeaky hardwood floor she would have bashed my skull while my back was turned. Her leaving was the best thing to happen to me during the three years we were together.

Jen and I, Sunny Slope, Phoenix Arizona, March 2021.
