More Irony from Faulty Dogma

We’re born with free will; a double-edged gift from the Big Guy upstairs that sets us apart from the rest of Creation. Then there’s the monk business. They call it monasticism; it’s a life where you walk away from the bright lights and the easy money to chase in the spirit and it’s truly a noble pursuit. It’s been a big player in the Catholic and Orthodox churches for ages. Back in the Middle Ages, they followed St. Benedict’s playbook. Those Benedictine boys swore off the loot, the trim and any idea of playing it their own way. But here’s the irony… They even went silent, forbidden to talk because a man with a voice has a choice… kind of a cosmic joke, don’t you think?
